Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe one downside was the ease that noise traveled in from another a room. It seemed like a normal volume conversation from a neighboring room was happening in our room instead of theirs.
Very inviting and interesting atmosphere from this renovated hotel! The staff was kind, the location was great, and the room was clean! There’s also a great coffee shop in the same building!

United StatesBathroom was very small and there was no place to put a toiletry bag. For one night it was ok but would have been a hassle otherwise.
Wonderfully remodeled historic hotel, right in the best part of town (on restaurant row, quick walk across the bridge and to the natural hot springs). Decor inside is wonderful. Comfortable seating and a lovely fire place. Very clean.

United StatesThe room we assigned first was not the same layout as the picture when booked, and did not have views. It would be better if there were drink/dessert room service options.
The room after we upgraded was absolutely beautiful with mountain view.

ItalyNothing to dislike.
Excellent location, beautiful cozy decoration, staff was great. Maybe a bit pricier than other hotels but you get a quiet location, comfortable beds, super plush robes, the coffee shop right down stairs sells amazing coffee. You never want to live the lobby. Overall really great experience.

United StatesGreat location and ambiance! The rooms are spacious and clean, the hotel has historic character but is also recently remodeled, and you can’t beat the proximity to restaurants/shops as well as the hot springs pool. Staff were very friendly. There is also a great coffee shop in the building!

United StatesWe love staying at this hotel, both for its location, main living area, and the variety of quiet and comfortable rooms. We requested a ground floor room, which was spacious and quiet, and in the morning, I visited the hotel's coffee shop whose barista invited me to bring ceramic cups of coffee back to our room. The decor throughout the hotel is elegant, eclectic, and sometimes historic, but never stuffy: black and white photos of Glenwood Springs as a mining town, amazing pieces of wood furniture from the hotel's 100+ years of operations, and deep and cozy couches you can sink into in front of the main living area's fireplace. We usually end our day having a cold beer or glass of wine in the living area, people watching, and just relaxing. We largely stay at this hotel so that we can forget about our car and walk to the nearby hot springs and restaurants. And we're so grateful that it's dog-friendly so that we can bring our well behaved dogs with us on our travels. The staff are always pleasant and helpful, and we love keeping an eye out for the Amtrak's arrival and departure just across from the hotel's main entrance.

United StatesWhile roomy and comfortable (with a large bathroom and kitchen area) the room that we were assigned (#190) was dark and windowless. It felt like a basement room. We didn’t ask to be moved because we were only there for a couple of nights. The next time we stay there we will definitely request that we are given a different room.
We like to stay at the Maxwell Anderson Hotel and give it high ratings. It’s clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
