Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The incent smell as you enter the lobby is way over the top. Strongly suggest a more neutral scent and light. The pool was too small, and the pool room smelled heavily of chlorine. The windows and blinds are tedious I would have liked to enjoy the weather outside from my room, but the window was difficult to operate or enjoy. The tv was annoying different languages and commentary when you want to watch a show, I am not the most tech savvy but this tv was not fun to operate. No continental breakfast.
I liked the water pressure and temperature. I liked the location of the hotel and how close the parking is to the lobby. The bed was comfortable and clean. The gentlemen that checked us in was very kind and brought us extra towels when requested.

We didn’t like that they were charging so much for parking. They charge $30 a night for parking, knowing that there is no where else for guests to park during their stays. They ask guests what kind of car they drive as check in, and take note of it, meaning they know what cars belong to guests each night vs which ones don’t. Housekeeping also didn’t show up everyday, and when they didn’t, they were acting as if it was a problem that we were requesting clean towels.
We liked that it was in close proximity to universal studios and everything else we were doing on our trip

The one and only issue I had was the outlets were really loose so we were struggling to charge our things and share the two that weren’t loose.
The location was great walking distance from the park. The beds were very comfortable it was clean and overall had a good experience.

No continental breakfast and when you call the front desk it just rings and rings with no answer so I had to go down the elevator to talk to front desk.

It says breakfast is included on booking.com, but they don't do breakfast. Messed up our budget a bit but there are places nearby where you can eat.
Really comfy beds, spacious rooms, very helpful and friendly staff on the desk, and an easy walk to Universal.

Booking.com states a breakfast is included but it isnt (not for winter) and didnt get any notification about this, parking is not included with stay and incident charge was higher than notified.
The bed was comfy, spacious room, bathroom ammenities such as shampoo, conditioner & bodywash, etc.

We had no complaints!
The location was perfect, just a short Uber ride to Universal, and the covered parking garage felt very safe! The staff was kind enough to let us leave our car there all day while we went to the park (after checking out).
