Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

We didn’t have toilet paper, towels were dingy and smelled of cigarette smoke, the room still had belonging from previous customers, tv remote was missing and there had to be a short in the light fixture and lamp by the door because it would turn on by itself. The stove lamp over the stove didn’t turn off, and there was illegal participation of illicit drugs.
The front lady who checked us in was sweet and kind and helped us!!!!

The clerk was gone and the office locked when we got three in the middle of the day. The only "Daily" room was on the third floor and the elevator was broke down with no plan for repair. The website did not tell me that this was an "extended stay hotel" with only one "daily" room. I want my money back and am filing a dispute with my credit card. This was a false advertising rip off.
Nothing, we did not stay and the place was not as advertised.

The air conditioner, coffee pot and microwave all needed repair. The overall property/room could use rennovating.
The room was nice and clean. I love that there was a full size refrigerator/freezer in the room. The property was located in an excellent area for the reason we took the trip. A Waffle House, Sonic Drive-in and Burger King were within walking distance also.

Had roaches out the ass it was ridiculous. I refused to bring my clothes in at all the whole week and half of my vacation. The Wi-Fi was also down the whole vacation which made nights miserable not being able to play my Xbox I brought on online games which Wi-Fi was in the description!!! So I couldn’t watch Netflix at night or nothing.
Staff and people who lived there or was vacationing was very nice!!!

After looking at the reviews I was a little hesitant but when I say this purchase was well worth it. The staff was amazing & the notes that I left for extra towels were fulfilled no questions asked. Ofc it’s an extended stay so bring your own silver wear & pans .

Door deadbolt did not fit into doorframe. Therefore the door could not be dead bolted and was not as as secure as it should have been.
Location was most important for us. Also, we were on a tight budget.

the after hours check in process, the hotel was filthy, there were homeless people sleeping behind the hotel, the inside of the room smelled like smoke and mold

I think the floor needed mopped better. My socks were terrible after walking across it.
I liked that there was a kitchenette but did not use it. No utensils. I liked the space for just a couple.
