Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesNothing we stay there always and travel to Los Angeles at least 4 times a year.
We love staying where we can eat excellent Japanese food easily and walk to Disney Hall or the Music Center and also major art museums like the Broad. The Metrorail station is right there by hotel and goes all the way to Santa Monica and Azusa or Long Beach. So easy!!!

SingaporeThe hotel has a matcha Cafe available for hotel guests to patronise if they so wish, (however, it seems like the Cafe is only open in the mornings? Tried to come back earlier to probably buy something back to the room at 5 pm but the cafe was already closed by then) So I assume that the Cafe is more of a breakfast thing if you do not wish to pay the USD20+ for the breakfast at the 2nd floor of the hotel. At other times, there is a convenience store available in the hotel (accessible only via room key cards). Variety of items is nothing to be complained about but the prices are on the higher side but I guess that's a last resort if you happen to have some late night cravings and you don't want to go too far from the hotel.
Hotel is very newly renovated, luxurious looking and tucked into a very quiet and peaceful neighbourhood. Hotel is very popular among the Japanese and Asian tourists which makes it very comfortable for us as fellow Asians visiting the city. Hotel is also very well connected to the bus and metro system with the station being just one traffic light away and the bus stop also one traffic light away in the other direction. Staff was also very friendly and they had already prepared all the paper work prior to our arrival allowing us to check in within less than 5 mins, which helped to make it a very seamless experience especially since we were coming from a long day in Disneyland. Rooms were spacious with enough amenities around for use. The air conditioning was strong and comfortable as well.

Location in Little Japan is interesting , lots of places to eat nearby, good transport links, welcoming lobby, clean, nicely fitted bathroom, comfortable beds, thoughtfully decorated, good value for money. Japanese culture is evident throughout the property, giving an aesthetic that completely differentiates from the bland and unrefined default American standards.

Miyako is our must-stay hotel in downtown LA. The hotel sits right in Little Tokyo (so a good location) and is in walking distance of SO many great downtown LA things to do. The hotel is always clean and neat. And staff is always so friendly and welcoming! Check in is quick and easy as well. There is a bakery/coffee shop Okayama Kobo down in the lobby - it’s amazing and a must every time we stay! There is also a sushi restaurant on the 2nd floor that is just okay. The rooms are nice and big, and the bathrooms (toilets) all have a bidet. There are also many toiletries available in the bathrooms, from mouthwash to wet wipe towels to shoe covers to bar soap. The walls must be pretty thick because we never hear neighbor noise. Although you will prob hear downtown LA noise (noisy cars and sirens!).

JapanThe decor is not so great.
The car ride from the airport to the hotel was covered by Booking.com so that was the incentive to use this hotel. But the hotel turned out great anyway and was so glad I chose it.

The location was wonderful; the room large, comfortable, and clean; the staff friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was excellent and a good value.

United Statesthe view from my room faced the parking garage of the mall, and there is a strange tape over the entire window that was peeling in places so I never felt I could turn up the blind and look out the window and feel that it was nice to look at anything.
The location of the hotel (I wanted to explore Little Tokyo in particular) and the quiet comfort of the room.
