I made the reservation online and when I got there I was told that I could get a dog friendly room only if I called the facility directly. On my online reservation I did note that I had a small dog. It was a little inconvenient because my dog is blind and I had to deal with a set of steps carrying a dog. Breakfast was the weakest part of the stay.
The location was great right off of Route 77 but there was not real breakfast only coffee, juice and muffins.

The mini fridge always seems to be missing shelves or not keeping cold. Haven't had a great one yet!

Poor tasting coffee and tea are available 24/7 from a machine in the lobby. Breakfast - cheap muffins, oatmeal packets, cereal. Where is protein?
Nice place with comfy beds and a hot shower for a quick one night stop. We did a road trip from Toronto to Miami and this was a good middle of the way pitstop. I ended up booking it on our way back as well.

However, the free breakfast was limited to cheap carbs and might only satisfy small kids. Additionally, the coffee and tea were poor-tasting. Improving the food and drink options would significantly enhance the overall experience.
Red Roof Inn Hillsville offers a convenient location close to the interstate, making it easily accessible. The hotel provides onsite free parking and a 24-hour concierge, adding to the convenience. Good location off the highway for a quick stay !! Seems a bit of a rougher area but very safe at the hotel . The inn was nice, staff pleasant , decorated nice! They had a basket of nice rags for people to use for their motorbikes etc... small lobby with a small breakfast area. Cereal , toast , juice , coffee etc...

For me, the mattress was not comfortable, softer side.
My dog stayed free, the floors weren't carpet, IT WAS CLEAN, $82 !! had everything I would need for overnight stay. Complimentary water at checkin was nice, a Nice front desk woman, and NO SMOKING anywhere! The Christmas tree

Parking was tight. Wish properly had policy that large pickups and SUV’s not park in spaces right at the building.
Easy access to the interstate. Close to great restaurants and other venues. Property was very clean and staff was great.

The coffee is weak. Not much of a breakfast but we had cereal and an apple. Better than nothing. There is a Circle K next door to the hotel so we bought some strong coffee there before heading out. We could hear barking and people walking above us but the noise quieted completely overnight.
The bed was comfortable. The room and bathroom was spacious. It has been updated even though it’s an older building. We were travelling south and needed a place to sleep after a long day. It was quiet overnight.
