Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaThe floors feel uneven Not sure it is a negative, but There was no staff on premises. It was a self check in. No breakfast offered. In the morning the hotel becomes a lively little café, so it is not very quiet around
Nice location, spacious family room, convenient parking

United KingdomShower room wasn’t great, not much power and small with curtain that let water out the sides.
Excellent location, beautiful town, best coffee shop we’ve been to in ages in carpark with views. The rooms are basic but decorated with care and style, very clean, no frills accomodation but just what we needed. No checkin process, just name on a board and key in door - loved this. Would highly recommend!

UkraineThe coffee machine in the room was out of order, but it didn’t affect our stay.
This small hotel, with just 8-9 rooms, was a delightful and quiet place to stay. Parking is conveniently located right near the rooms, and there are a few outdoor tables where you can relax and enjoy dinner or drinks. The location is perfect—right in the heart of the city—making it easy to explore the main street on foot. One highlight was the amazing café near the hotel, which offers a 20% discount for guests. We had a delicious breakfast there and even grabbed some lunch to take with us on our Yosemite trip. The room was cozy and small but had a charming, authentic feel. While the rooms are not brand new, they were clean and had everything needed for a one- or two-night stay. I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend this hotel to travelers who value character and adventure over modern amenities. It’s a great spot to experience something unique and local!

SwitzerlandIt took a while for the water to get hot, then adjusting the temperature was almost impossible; either boiling hot or freezing cold. Slight inconvenience, but not a huge deal.
Nice comfortable and clean room in the middle of town, multiple restaurants within a few minutes of walking.

United KingdomCouldn’t get the showers hot. So was a chilly start to the day!! WiFi wasn’t great. But had signal on mobile network so not a massive issue.
Great location for getting to Yosemite, and Mariposa was a lovely little stop off point with cute shops and bars. We arrived late in the evening and check in was easy, parking was available outside the room and key was left in the door for us. The place looks dated but in a good way, very quirky and authentic. The on site cafe staff were fantastic and the grilled cheese sandwiches were epic!

AustraliaThe WiFi was pretty poor. I had better mobile reception with my phone carrier and that was only one 1 or 2 bars.
Super easy check in after hours (chalkboard told us which room was ours, keys were already waiting in the door). Cosy charm to the room. Good microwave and mini fridge facilities. Bed was comfy, lots of pillows. (Tip: the shower does get warm, just leave the hot top running for 1 min and I promise it eventually gets hot).

AustraliaNo one was around when we tried to check in. Not a major problem as info was on the blackboard and the key was in the door but our room wasn’t numbered so a bit difficult to find it.
Loved the casual laid back attitude. A big suite with 2 king beds, funky and quirky but clean and perfect for one night.

United KingdomThe only negative I had was the floor was dirty as walking around bare footed, our feet were black. Bit outdated, but that wasn't a problem
Location was good for Yosemite. I'd say an hours drive which wasn't to bad. Didn't see the owners but communication between us was perfect

PolandIt was clean except under the bed. Pity that the deli is open only on the weekends... (the information in google is misleading; saw people from the outside walking away disappointed).
For the oldest motel in town it's very nicely refreshed. Generally small, but with large, comfy bed and a refrigerator. Good location with various restaurants in a walking distance. The deli on site offers absolutely delicious food. I'd say the whole place is very charming.
