Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

location right in the heart of the city, 1 minute away from subway Our room had a terrace and we enjoyed an open air space which is not so usual in NYC especially around Times Square! Breakfast was good, classic american breakfast, maybe some more seats in the breakfast room would make it more comfortable but it was good to have it included in the room's fare

Not all food was covered at the breakfast. People were not always considerate of each other and were coughing without covering their mouths. For that reason, pastries should have been better stored.
Location was excellent... down the street from the theater. The room was great. Although I didn't use the stovetop, it was a nice option to have. Shower had awesome pressure! Free breakfast! Free chocolate chip cookies at check-in!

Elevator was a bit slow at times. Small, cramped feel to the hallways.
Breakfast was fantastic. Many options and the oatmeal was so good with tons of toppings! coconut! brown sugar, graham cracker to name just a few. The girl working kept everything clean and well stocked! Absolutely appreciated. Front desk staff was thoughtful and pleasant. Bed so comfy, towels FLUFFY!

We arrived at 4:40 and our room was not ready. The air conditioning was not working in our room both days and they were not able to fix it or to move us to another room. When they brought a fan, it was broken, missing a blade.

Staff was welcoming and accommodating! Had great time from the time we stepped in to leaving the hotel! Location is couple of minutes of walk to Times Square and subway station.

As mentioned above, the dining area is too small when the hotel is at full capacity.
The staff is very accommodating. The breakfast was fine but my first morning there, the dining area was so crowded that I couldn't find a place to sit. I like that there is coffee and tea available all day.

Everything was very clean. The breakfast was very good and they changed a few things up each day. They had cookies at the desk. They did not clean my room with a 3 night stay, but when I called the desk they did come change the garbages and bring towels. The elevator was a little slow. The king suite with a patio not worth it, the patio is very tiny and no view at all. The staff was nice, not overly accommodating but they were not rude. If you're looking for a reasonably priced (for this area) hotel with the basics this is definitely worth it. The location is amazing!! It is a block from Times Square and most of the theaters. I would definitely stay here again.

Comfortable beds, well laid out rooms, and friendly staff. Delicious breakfast, tasty cookies, free coffee, tea, cocoa, and water throughout the day. Nice having a kitchen. And the location is great - close to the action, but a little away from it which is nice. Quiet room, couldn’t hear a thing from the hallway, other rooms, or outside.

Slow elevator, but using the stairs was no big deal. Toaster in lobby breakfast area is extremely slow (same as last year) and should probably be replaced. Traffic flow in breakfast area isn’t optimal.

Although the room was understandably small, given its proximity to Times Square, I wasn't fond of the sofa bed—it wasn’t very comfortable. Additionally, the carpet color felt a bit dull for my taste. However, considering the prime location, it’s to be expected.
The location is fantastic, with all the major attractions just a short walk away. It truly feels like you're at the heart of the city, making it an ideal spot for families who prefer not to rely on the subway to reach Times Square. I really enjoyed the breakfast. While it was the same each day, it had all the essential elements needed to kickstart the morning in a satisfying way. The staff were exceptionally courteous and went out of their way to assist with even the smallest of requests, which we truly appreciated.

This hotel was incredible value for money - moments away from the heart of New York whilst being far enough away for a quiet night's sleep. The staff were always welcoming and present. The room was ideal for a place to sleep / a pitstop and had a comfortable bed, decent kitchen facilities and a nice shower and bathroom!
