The main issue is the poor soundproofing between adjacent bedrooms belonging to neighboring units. Staying over Valentine's might not be the best idea to avoid being kept awake by very loud late night activities.

While one of the mattresses was new and comfortable- the other was old and springy. They only gave one really flat pillow per person (and when the pillows are so old and flat, you absolutely need two per person). There were no extra pillows around. Everyone of us woke up after a rough night sleep with sore necks. The kitchen has really new and very cute appliances, as well as some dishes (4 bowls, plates, glasses, and two mugs), but no cutlery. There was a coffee maker and even pods for it, but no pot or kettle to boil water for tea. There was a toaster, and even a hot pot, but there were no pots at all to make anything on the two burner stove top. I emailed asking for a pot or kettle to boil water, and never received a response.

The unit is really cozy and lovely. The perfect blend of woods lodge and modernity. Lots of space, updated appliances, really nice style. Great facilities on the property as well - BBQ area, bean bag toss game, and a fire pit with Adirondack chairs.

The suite seemed fabulous... until our.power went out (tripped breaker, possibly from.an.ancient wimdow/wall air conditioner) and there was no on-site staff to deal with it. The owner had to send one of her renters to fix it (not any type of on-call maintenance person) which took a bit of time and led to a late bedtime for us..I expected to.be offered a later check out, but was not. Also, if a suite with kitchen facilities.is rented, I expect actual dishes and flatware, not random cups/dishes that looked like they hadn't been washed, and supplemented by paper plates and a box of.mixed plastic flatware.

The facility was updated and clean.

Communication is simply superb. The area around LP had black flies issue the week we arrived, and maintenance sprayed the property well. Maintenance also promptly repaired+replaced the broke toilet flush after I texted them (i understand that things do give up after many uses). Very professional. Beddings were very comfy. It’s a very small space but it’s clean and tidy. Working microwave and fridge.

TV OK for news if you choose 'Live TV'. We tried to access Hulu and Netflix, but without success...perhaps one needs one's own subscription and password? Oven gloves would be nice, some extra plates and bowls and cutlery also. More hooks would be very useful, to hang towels, jackets, clothes, etc. Air conditioner very noisy, so you will not want to run it through the night.

New bathroom very good, except more hooks would make it much easier to hang wet towels, etc. Bed very comfortable. Surprisingly quiet at night, so easy to sleep. Parking right in front of the unit, so most convenient even in the rain.

The (temporary) automated check-in was a bit problematic but this was rectified quickly by the owner. There needs to be on site staff to be able to handle things that come up.

The location was pretty good - I stayed for Ironman Lake Placid. The local scenery was excellent.

We only had issue with the shower knob. It was broken and whenever we tried to turn it on the handle was falling apart and had cold water coming out. Apart from that everything was fine.

The room decor was great. The beds were cozy and comfy. The log finishes add extra elegance to the room. The bathroom was very nice and clean.

For the price, we felt like we did not get as much value. It is a motel that has been updated, but it does not have any bells or whistles (or a hair dyer). For the cost, we would've expected a little more. Given that it's self-check-in, you do not interact with anyone, so it's a bit impersonal as it is. The rooms are updated, but sparse. It merely felt like a place to sleep and shower, without much else. So we felt it did not necessarily warrant the price tag. However, we did appreciate the very fast customer service given someone is not on-site - they seem to have a good crew of people ready to run over if anything goes awry.

It is a self-check-in process, which was seamless. Our shower water did not get hot, so we texted the manager and he was very responsive. He always responded to our messages immediately, he sent someone over to look at the shower immediately, and upgraded us to another room for the night. Unfortunately, that shower was also not too hot, but we appreciated the quick service.
