Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsNo fridge in the room. AC is either on full blast or off, plus housekeeping is changing the AC temperature and bed incline so you have to figure it out every time again. Also, towel rack placed behind the toilet is kind of weird?
Very comfortable bed with an incline option, plenty of storage space in the room with an easy to use safe, good size TV, great waterfall shower and overall bathroom area. Great in-house restaurant with plenty of options. Central location with plenty of amenities in the area (Trader Joe's, Shake Shack, Starbucks within the same block). Overall staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They offer luggage storage in case you need to check out but want to explore the city. One big thing to mention is that they offer day-rooms, this isn't advertised but should be! For an extra fee, you can have the option to check out at 5pm by asking the hotel front desk or even 7pm through a third-party website. My flight wasn't until 10:30pm, so this made all the difference on my last day.

HungaryAlthough the room had a creative design (you could convert the bed into a sofa with a switch), it was extremely small.
The hotel is in a good location and generally quiet—except for the air conditioning, which for some reason was very loud. The design is stylish, and the breakfast and weekend brunch are high quality. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The valet parking service was excellent, and there’s also a bus network running underneath the building that takes you to the airport and downtown.

United StatesRooms were small for the price and smelled musty. No washcloths. Room keys are really finicky. No overhead lights, only lights were the backlit ones behind the TV which was odd.
Close to all the attractions in the seaport including the T stop.

BelgiumAs for this price, over 400$/night, the breakfast should be complementary. The room had a window that didn't sealed correctly, not isolating the noise from the street. Walls are not sound isolating either - noticeable conversations from neighboring rooms. No place to seat besides the electrically foldable bed and tiny foldable chair, no table, just a night stand. No black-out curtains. As for me the mattress was waaaay too soft.
Location of the hotel is great. Direct access by bus to the airport and at the same time with 1-2 transits you can get to the downtown. Vicinity of the old pier is a plus. Few restaurants and coffee places within 5 min walk. Hotel was very clean. Quick check in and check out. Heating and AC worked well.

CroatiaThe room itself was big enough, but the area around the bed is a little tight. Also the bathroom has no proper door, it has a curtain and a door that kept opening. As a couple we managed, but maybe if you are going with a friend or similar it's worth noting about the bathroom privacy.
Great location, a short walk to the center, a very modern hotel. The check-in process was easy, the hotel staff was polite. The bed was huge and comfortable, bathroom decent. We were also able to leave our luggage after checkout, free of charge. They also offer the possibility of a late checkout, but for a fee.

United StatesAs ever, the self check in process didn't work for me. This seems to happen every time and I only try it when reception is busy, but it always ends up wasting more time. Also the key cards are very tricky to get the elevator working, it's extremely sensitive and you have to hold it just the right way for the right amount of time which can be annoying when people are waiting on you.
The staff were super lovely. I've been here a few times but everyone was particularly friendly and helpful this time, I also got a sweet handwritten card on my door welcoming me back, which was a really nice touch. The room was spotless and spacious.
