Breakfast was great with a good variety. The tartan touches to the room were nice, and the room was a good size with a comfortable bed. The property is located less than 10 mins walk into Inverness city centre

It was in a great location only a 10 minute walk across the bridge.
I had the small single room which had everything I needed as a solo traveller. They have a great lounge room where you can stretch out, read, chat to other travellers or catch up on emails/netflix/social media.
Breakfast was also great with variety and very filling.

We loved our stay at Friars Bridge Guesthouse. Lynda could not have more helpful in every aspect of our trip. Lynda arranged taxis for us to meet connections and tours, provided information on dinner reservations at the time of booking, so that we were able to enjoy a lovely meal out. We were given a larger room in the new section of the property that provided a little seating area outside away from the wind and in the sun. The beds were really comfy. My husband was unwell, and Lynda provided an extra heater to keep the room warm for him. We enjoyed breakfast each morning, with local fruit and local yoghurt. Lynda always packed up any extra from breakfast so that we could eat it later in the day. A lovely little touch was the homemade fudge and banana cake. We were able to leave our large luggage with Lynda while we went up to the Orkney Islands for 2 nights, which was just amazing. Thanks, Lynda, for a memorable stay.

Deirdre and Alasdair went above and beyond to ensure our comfort at Old Drynie House. The breakfasts were huge and catered for all tastes, the bedroom was equipped for every eventuality and the huge garden featured charming wildlife themed woodwork as well as plenty of real wildlife, including red squirrels. Our hosts also supplied face to face advice on how to spend our time, keen to ensure we made the most of our trip to a part of the country of which only the surface can be scratched in the few days we were there. We understand the owners are planning to retire, a loss to the Black Isle's tourist industry, but wish them all the best.

Very good location, nice walk into the city centre. The grounds were lovely and the swimming pool was nice to have a relaxing morning using the jacuzzi and sauna.
Made to feel very welcome by all staff. It may be the most romantic hotel but it is certainly a lovely hotel for me and my friend celebrating 40 years of friendship.
Lovely welcome and even a free whiskey. I got a free room upgrade because I was a last min booking. The bed was huge. Pool and jacuzzi were nice and relaxing. Breakfast was superb, best smoked salmon and scrambled eggs Ive ever had.
Our stay was amazing we were upgraded to the privilege free of charge and had a fancy bottle of wine delivered to the hotel room because we were visiting for our anniversary the staff were very welcoming and the decor was stunning would highly recommend staying here we will definitely be visiting again
Lovely village location. Great coffee pod machine, milk and cereals were provided. And there is a wonderful deli just down the road. Beds are comfortable and bathroom smart with all facilities and plenty of towels. Kitchen has lots of equipment which we used for our deli and supermarket-sourced cold collation dinner one of the two nights that we stayed. It was a relaxed and comfortable evening with a good bottle of wine.
we had a very warm welcome and the lovely receptionist acknowledged our anniversary and we were upgraded which made our stay more special.
The location of the hotel is excellent which was perfect for our trip.
Location walking distance from town centre Owner Janette made it a perfect stay with good communication at just the right level. I was travelling with an electric bike and had requested indoor storage for security and to charge it which Janette accommodated. So many extras I wasn't expecting in the room which had been upgraded: shampoo shower gel hankies, even a fridge and a wide variety of snacks and drinks. Breakfast was lovely and a really wide selection of hot and cold foods. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others
