Great breakfast was provided, and the staff are super nice even if there's a language barrier. It's a bit of a distance from the Onsen town but the staff picked us up from the train station and brought us to the hotel, then dropped us back off at the Onsen town with a pickup time and location to meet them when it was time to leave. They even loaned us umbrellas due to the rain. If you're on a budget but want to go to Kinosakionsen town and have a nice stay you can't do much better than this

Onishiya Suishoen

Kinosaki Onsen, Toyooka

Guests at Onishiya Suisyouen Ryokan can experience a traditional Japanese room with futon beds and tatami (woven-straw) flooring, or enjoy a Western-style room. Japanese-style rooms include a tea maker, private bathroom and a satellite TV. All rooms have air conditioning. The whole experience was amazing! We were able to enjoy their mini garden view, since we arrived early and waited to be checked in. The staff was very welcoming and having a private onsen was really a big plus for us. Especially that their onsen has a bit tolerable temperature than the other onsens in the town. And the highlight of the experience was the Food!! We were surprised to receive 1 whole snow crab each, and the Kaiseki experience overall is unforgettable! I would definitely go back!
