The environment of this stay is amazing. There is a koi pond a little stream you can listen to in the night & with the sound of grasshoppers. The villa lent two electric bikes to us, so that we could explore the nearby mountain and its temples. The dinner was amazing (shabu shabu, Japanese hotpot) breakfast was great (traditional Japanese breakfast) everyone in the staff was so friendly

The staff were extremely kind, the dinner and breakfast were incredible. We visited on a Thursday and we were the only ones in the onsen, which was amazing for our first onsen experience. There is a cute japanese garden in front. It is easy to get to the train stop from Osaka where a driver was waiting for us and also drove us back the next morning.

We come with little kids and they were very helpful. It is very much appreciated. I would recommend to all visitors.

The highlight of the place was definitely the staff though. I've never stayed anywhere that had such kind and helpful employees. They would go out of their way constantly to make sure our stay was perfect. The washer/dryer wasn't working in our room one day and they offered to wash the laundry for us! They really made the place feel like a home away from home and I'd definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Osaka

We went here for our honeymoon. It is such a beautiful place nestled along a river. The room was massive with its own outdoor bath looking out to the trees and over the river as well. Thank you for such a special experience.
Izumi-Sano
The open-air hot-spring bath at Fudoguchikan is available 24 hours, and separate per gender. The ryokan also houses a lounge, a shop and drinks vending machines. A variety of yukata robes are available for rent, and free parking is on site. The atmosphere (next to a river in the mountains) is fantastic. We stayed in a room with a private outdoor bath that overlooks the river in absolute privacy. The onsen water quality is very good. The room was large (16 tatami) and the futons very comfortable. The area is very quiet - only the whisper of the aircon and the pump of the outdoor bath could be heard at night. Women get to pick yukatas upon check-in to suit their style and size. We paid for half-board, which included a very sumptuous kaiseki meal in a private tatami room. The food was absolutely exceptional, and included drinks such as high-end sake. Breakfast -- traditional Japanese -- was also very delicious. The hotel provided a shuttle service from and to Hineno station, making the travel experience very easy.

Super welcome from the staff, including a detailed introduction to the ryokan and how to conduct yourself (delivered in a professional and welcoming manner). Amazing ryokan and relaxing onsen. Highly recommend. Serene surroundings of the beautiful garden and pond. Truly idyllic. Thoughtfully tailored vegan kaiseki for my partner. Taste didn’t 100% hit the mark (see below sole negative comment), but we couldn’t fault the effort that had gone into the meal. Great breakfast. Unique experience (breakfast in a yukata).
I loved the general vibe of the staff and the home was beautiful! It’s a welcoming environment and provides a more authentic cultural experience, being able to sleep on tatami and futons! Also there is a cafe and bar downstairs that serves great drinks!
This was my favourite place to stay on my Japan trip. I absolutely loved the Onsen and massage chairs. Most of all, I fell in love with leaving my shoes at the hotel entrance and walking around in socks on the wonderful tatami floors.
Great location. Lovely onsen or hot spring. Pods were well equipped.
Really comfortable room - we loved the tatami flooring and futons, and the layout was great with the separated window room looking out over the river. Comfiest pillows of the whole holiday (we stayed in 5 hotels over 3 weeks). The location was ideal, though maybe not great if you have children with you. The onsen was fabulous - I am quite heavily tattooed and they had no problem with it all, so it was the only onsen I had the opportunity to use during my holiday.
The view of the ocean from my room was very nice. It's fairly convenient to Rinku Town station/shopping, and KIX airport on the other side of the bridge. I arrived too late to use the hot springs (onsen) but I'm sure that is very relaxing.
Location is fantastic, just minutes away from Dotonburi, and the actual ryokan is very clean, has many amenities as well as an authentic Japanese experience for the cost. They also provide Yukatas, and have your futon set up for you which is a big plus.
We wanted to experience a ryokan so booked this place. It wasn't quite what we had imagined since it's a huge place. The rooms are very large and had futons that were laid out at night. We opted for the traditional breakfast in the morning, which was fine though not extraordinary. The location is good, on the canal just across the street from a lively area with tons of restaurants and shops.
Excellent location, had view over Dotonburi River which was stunning at night! Very comfy futons, large room for two people, tea and yukata nightwear provided, good sized bathroom, working AC, fridge for keeping drinks/food cool, lifts worked well, everything very clean and staff friendly! Not a bad thing to say, the perfect stay in a ryokan style room and at an excellent price!
