Soon after we arrived we were greeted by our host who made sure we had what we needed. The host facilitated the luggage transfer service we use, which helped us a lot. The apartment is perfect for two and the view of the cows in front and the gorgeous sunset over the water was delightful.

Boasting a patio with quiet street views, a garden and a terrace, The Painter’s Retreat can be found in Lower Boscaswell, close to Portheras Cove Beach and 18 km from St Michael's Mount.

Loved the well fitted out kitchen and facilities. Loved the quirky style and Francesca's painting. Free car park was a real bonus. Would love to stay again for longer as location was wonderful. Also good for visiting the Minack Theatre and Sennen Cove.

We were made to feel so welcome from the moment we booked brilliant host that confirmed booking details when booking and checked in with a message the day before our stay. The cottage was so lovely and every detail has been thought off from all kitchen needs to a bathroom cabinet full of toiletries. The host was very helpful and had a travel cot baby bath and high chair all set up ready for our little one as well, it was so easy to unwind with a massive selection of books films and beautiful hottub with views of the sea at lands end and the countryside together very equipped cottage and surroundings are lovely! 4 nights went by far to quickly we would recommend this cottage to anyone!! What a lovely place in such a nice area. Lovely homemade scones with cream and jam and even a pint of milk ready for us in the fridge. Truly the most welcoming touches ever and so thankful for a great stay

    Fantastic place ! Lovely welcome basket of goodies and everything that you needed was there in the kitchen. Beautiful designed place and bonus having the sun terrace up the steps. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and definitely will be going back.

    Right on the sea front, parking and easy access to the few shops and wonderful beach. Very clever layout of the apartment with a sun trap above, not ideal if you are less able. Well designed and stocked kitchen if you wanted to cook. Had all mod-cons. wifi, smart TV and very light and airy. Lauren was an absolute pleasure and good to chat with as she new what was happening in and around Sennen itself. Have stayed in a few different places in Sennen Cove over the years and this one was by far the best. We are very likely to go back :)

    Cove retreat is just perfectly situated, being close to everything but still tucked away so you can enjoy some quiet time inside or on the top terrace. We enjoyed the perfectly equipped spacious kitchen area for our cosy winter morning routine. If there’s anything you need or miss during your time, Lauren will do her best to help and amend. We just had the best time!!

    massive well equiped kitchen for a small one bedroom flat, also with an outer back enclosed small patio [no view to coast] and elevated garden if you needed solitude. Close to little convenience store and cafe as well as pub. Host also left a wonderful goodie basket with milk in fridge..really lovely touch!

    Lovely hosts, well equipped and thoughtfully provisioned. Much better kitchen setup than most, with salt, pepper, oil, milk, and full set of cleaning and dishwashing kit provided. Super-friendly (in a good way) hosts who went out of their way to accommodate us without being in any way intrusive.
