As soon as Melanie opened the door we knew we would love this property! Spacious, comfortably furnished on both levels and eclectic items from Melanie’s collection everywhere - from beautiful porcelain to African fertility gods, you could spend a day just looking at everything. But why would you when you are such a beautiful village? Beds are firm, the kitchen has everything you could need and bathrooms good too. Off street parking too. A wonderful place to stay for a few days.

Beautifully restored historic stone house in the center of medieval village of Flavigny. The beds were very comfortable. Perfect set up for us- two families traveling together with small children. The uppermost floor is air-conditioned. The interior courtyard/garden was lovely. The kitchen was well-stocked with all cooking supplies you might want. Steps away from a very good bakery and a famous anise candy factory. The village often smelled of anise, which was magical. The hosts are incredibly kind and thoughtful, making this a wonderful gite. A character property beautifully decorated. The little house was set in a beautiful meadow very slightly outside the village. We were awoken by sweet birdsong every morning.The owner left a big vase of Lilac and jar or made made jam which was lovely.
