We booked one night at Ferienhaus Herrenschmiede for a quick stop during a road trip around Austria. Even though we arrived too late, Kim gave us all the facilities to enter the house without any problems. Ferienhaus Herrenschmiede is a very tastefully decorated house, with a great attention to detail in every corner. We were surprised by the number of amenities provided, with a wide range of possibilities for outdoor activities nearby, both in summer and winter. On top of that, after we found out we forgot a beanie at the house upon our departure, Kim very kindly offered to send it back to my address. All in all, highly recommendable accommodation in every aspects and we will surely make sure to come back if we get the chance.

When we booked this, I knew this would be my husband's favorite place in our month in Europe - turned out, it was the favorite for both of us!! Beautifully rustic, and the view is even better than the photos!! The owner met us down at the car and helped carry our (So sorry: ridiculous amount of) stuff up to the Hutte. Through a cow field. With cows in it. Small cows, not many, maybe 5. Then the owner pulled up a chair on the porch and we had a nice visit. I'm glad I asked him who Walter was. I won't spoil it for you here. We did not leave even once after we got there. The view was beautiful beyond description - the Hutte was spotless, cozy, rustic but nicely appointed (other than no cork screw!!). Lots of fuzzy warm blankets, a nice little fire pit outside, cow bells clanging softly in the background, a ski run just above us, completely private - so green and wonderful!! (Tip: If you have a car, pack only what clothes you really need for those days. Bring mostly groceries, coffee and wine. Also - the road up the property is a bit of a nail biter, but it is nicely paved, safe and beautiful!! There is a bit of a hike from the parking area to the Hutte, so wear smart shoes like I didn't.)

Offering direct access to the ski slope, farm animals, a spa area and free WiFi, HOFERHOF Familien-Abenteuer HOTEL Schladming -Dachstein is located in Rohrmoos amid the Schladming-Dachstein Ski... The host was very welcoming. The location is excellent, not in the mid city, away from the crowds but close enough. Great view from the room. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. We do not have kids but it seems like an excellent location to come with kids. Lots of farm animals around, table tennis and other activities
