We landed on this place because I wanted to stay in a typical Ryokan, but my husband wanted his own bathroom. It was the best stay of our Japan trip out of 3 hotels that were all far above average. It feels very secluded and private, there are around 10 apartments in total and everyone has their own entrance. There's a coin washing machine as well. There is a small breakfast buffet with really great coffee and they provide some free snacks during the day as well I believe. All in all it feels really kind and caring.

I literally liked everything The cleanses the beds the apartment and the stuff were very helpful and polite also i liked the location ,,,, it far from center but its quite and calm and around it 3 to 4 market (one of them in front of you ) also near bus station (like 2 min by foot ) and for train station ( 10 by foot ) And the best thing it is very close to Arashiyama area I really recommend it

We were welcomed by great staff who spoke English very well, making our settling in quick and easy after a long trip. The wooden decor throughout the place created a warm and comfortable atmosphere, further enhanced by a quaint garden right inside. Its location is a winner, nestled in the historical part of Kyoto, making most popular tourist attractions easily accessible. Staying in Kiyomizu 1 was a treat with a beautiful view over the Yasaka Pagoda from the second floor. The very unique Japanese breakfast experience was a delightful start to our day, introducing us to local flavors and customs. We cherished our stay and Campton Kiyomizu will be a choice destination whenever we find ourselves in Kyoto again.

Kyoisuke offers accommodation within 700 metres of the centre of Kyoto, with free WiFi, and a kitchenette with a dishwasher, an oven and a microwave. There is a private entrance at the holiday home for the convenience of those who stay. Guests can enjoy garden views. This was an incredible place to stay! We are a family of four and found it so nice to share some space together after staying in hotel rooms. It was so close to everything that we needed. People that run the place are amazing and the breakfasts are incredible. Would highly recommend!

BenTen Residences offer a Japanese machiya accommodation in the heart of Higashiyama, Kyoto. Yasaka Shrine is 7 minutes on foot, while Kiyomizu Temple is a 14-minute stroll. BenTen Residences was featured as 1 of the Top 10 vacation homes in 2017 by Dwell. Free WiFi access is provided throughout the entire property. beautiful refurbished Machiya in an excellent location. ample room for 6 persons. very clear check in process and clean. concierge was very helpful.

If you want to have a Japanese stay experience, I recommend you to stay here! Really unique experience, with free mini bar! Staff were really friendly and welcomed us with a big smile. Rule book was sufficient. Hosts also gave us a celebratory gift for our anniversary, thank you so much, we really enjoyed the stay. The place is slightly far from public transport so do plan some time to locate it. Do take some time to cool off the water hot tub if you think it is too hot!

The property features a shared bathroom. Towels, slippers and free toiletries including toothbrushes are also provided. Hosts were phenomenal, friendly, neat, and made themselves available to answer any questions and to simply make sure everyone felt at home. The whole place was kept tidy at all times and provided excellent space to meet people. The place was also surprisingly soundproof and offered a nice window into experiencing the city through the design of the hostel.
