The lake frontage with stunning views of the mountains and lake and choices of eateries catering for vegetarians
Good parking but roadworks made it difficult at times to get around
Would recommend the Big Fig for vegetarians and Charlie Brown for great crepes

A wholesome town just outside of Queenstown.
A wholesome town just outside of Queenstown. I could've stayed here weeks. It was a great location to be based at for Roy's Peak Summit, more hiking and days spent by the lake. Bonus activity was a dinner and movie night at Cinema Paradiso. A really lovely town with a very live-able atmosphere.

Wanaka itself is a lovely spot.
Wanaka itself is a lovely spot. It was lovely without being too much of a tourist trap. The art gallery I visited was very good, and the two local restaurants also good and reasonably priced. The staff at the Thai restaurant were especially friendly and helpful. I wish I had stayed long enough to drive out to a few places from Wanaka.
Perfectly situated in the heart of town, this hotel was ideal for our family with teenagers keen to explore. Everything was within walking distance, from shops and sights to cafes and restaurants.
The equipped kitchen made this apartment perfect for home cooks, whether you're whipping up simple meals or wanting to try your hand at local specialties
A warm welcome from Karen set the tone for a fantastic stay. Her hospitality made us feel right at home
Great studio living with everything you needed for a relaxing holiday. Bonuses were: the equipped kitchen (hob, pans, toaster, kettle, microwave, small fridge), I was thinking a small kitchenette but was happily surprised; the private lawn space to chill outside; the great shower water pressure. We knew the location wasn't in town but that suited us fine. I would choose this accommodation again over a hotel or lodge in the same price range.
The rooms were very comfortable, modern and clean. They seem to use a central heating system rather than individual heaters, so the room was kept warm without becoming stuffy. The onsite restaurant, Amigos, is really handy to have and appeared popular with guests as well as non-guests. The location is excellent, walking distance to the lake front, with plenty of parking available behind the hotel. Would definitely stay here again.
West Meadows of Wanaka surpassed all expectations, thanks to the exceptional warmth and friendliness of the host. Their dedication to ensuring a comfortable stay was truly remarkable, going the extra mile at every turn. The location couldn't have been better, with easy access to the city center and breathtaking mountain views adding to the charm. Highly recommended for an unforgettable experience in Wanaka.
The view was very nice. We could see the Wanaka lake from the room's balcony. The hotel seems to have all the facilities you need. We visited in February so it was a bit warm so the hotel provided us a fan which helped us at night. The bathroom had a heater which was nice for the cold morning.
The view was amazing, the room was quiet, and very comfortable. It was a quick walk to the lake and there was a lovely cafe 100 metres away .lots of lovely walks close to the hotel. The staff were helpful and the hotel had a lovely restaurant with a good selection of meals .We will return .
The rooms in the hostel were cosy and affordable, and very clean. There was a minor issue with my room, but it was not the fault of the hotel, and the staff were very quick to address the issue. The bar and restaurant were also very good and modern.
Wonderful family hostel convenient to town and trails in Wanaka. Super clean common areas with everything you need. Very organized. Hot tub and BBQ are great extras. Hosts are super nice and helpful. Just wish we could have stayed longer.
Self contained cottage was cute, compact, cosy and clean.
Steve gave us a friendly welcome ably assisted by his canine companion, Beau. The friendly vibe was duplicated at the local hotel where we were greeted as if we were regulars.
Wanaka luxury apartment is in the quiet end of Wanaka and a 5 minute stroll through the park to the famous Wanaka lake and Wanaka tree. We were there in spring and the entire road is covered in cherry blossom trees in full bloom.
* Appreciate that the room is ready when we checked in
* The room was big than what we expected
* Proximity of the hotel to the restaurants
* Proximity to the lake area
* Accessibility to Wanaka attractions
This property was excellent, so much better than any Motel or Hotel. Beautifully presented and exceptionally clean. Lovely home made breakfast, with lovely people. Also received the recipe for homemade bread.
good location 2 blocks back from the lake - this also meant it was a bit cheaper
had everything you'd expect from a self contained 1 brm apartment
friendly helpful staff member on reception
Owners were very friendly. Room was clean. Location of the motel is quite close to the Wanaka tree. There is also a self-cleaning car wash facility with brush and hose provided.
