Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Prestige in Dubai Marina, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations in every aspect. First and foremost, the location is absolutely fantastic. Situated in the vibrant Dubai Marina area, it offers breathtaking views of the skyline and the marina itself. The balcony view from the hostel is simply stunning, especially during sunset and at night when the city comes alive with lights. The people and workers at the hostel are incredibly friendly and welcoming. From the moment I arrived, I felt like part of a family. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable, providing excellent service with a smile. The hostel itself is impeccably clean and well-maintained. The facilities are modern and tastefully decorated, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Whether it was the comfortable beds, spacious common areas, or clean bathrooms, everything was top-notch. One of the highlights of my stay was the easy access to everything Dubai has to offer. From transportation to activities to nightlife, everything was conveniently located nearby. Whether I wanted to explore the city, relax on the beach, or experience the vibrant nightlife, I never had to travel far. Last but not least, the owner himself is truly exceptional. He is passionate about providing a memorable experience for his guests and goes out of his way to ensure that everything is perfect. His dedication to hospitality is evident in every aspect of the hostel. In conclusion, my stay at this hostel in Dubai Marina was nothing short of amazing. From the stunning location to the friendly staff to the impeccable cleanliness, everything surpassed my expectations. My stay in this hostel was amazing, I got to meet amazing travellers from around the world, made new friends, and had access to some of the best sightseeing places in Dubai. Thanks to the management of the hostel and the amazing Junior and Nikki for making this place a comfortable one for my stay. I felt as if I was staying at home.

This is really the best hostel ever. It’s like a home. The room is so clean, spacious, and quiet. The bedding is very comfortable. I slept very well there!! The public space is so comfy and relaxing.I really had a great stay there. I would really stay here again if I had chance to go to Dubai again.

A very good hostel for a good and affordable price. Located on the top floor of a multi-storey building. The rooms and bathrooms were clean. I noticed that they do cleaning every day and that’s good. The administrator, a black guy from the USA, was very friendly and tried to help with all my questions.

The place is really clean, the stuff is amazing, junior and nicky was super helpful and super friendly, also you feel like you living with a family not a hostel...overall it was a great experience, the place is very safe and tidy. I really recommend it for solo travelers

I loved mostly the kindness of those people. They let you feel comfortable and helps you with every struggle. But it was also the location, with the few steps to the beach or the balcony with an amazing view of Dubai.

This is the first time ever I go to a hostel.I was a bit worried about the fact I will be sharing with other people. But man it turns out to be a great experience. Everyone is nice and welcoming. And the place is cozy and always clean. Will definitely be checking in sometime again.

Just wanted to drop a line to say a massive thank you for making my stay so awesome! Seriously, Nikki and Junior totally rocked it. Their vibes were so welcoming, and they were always there with a smile and great recommendations. Prestige Hostel itself was spot on – clean, cozy, and with a killer location. The atmosphere was buzzing, and I met some awesome fellow travelers along the way. So yeah, massive shoutout to Nikki, Junior, and the whole team. You guys made my time in Dubai one to remember! And really recommended!!

I enjoyed the overall atmosphere in the hostel, the team, Niky and Junior are very quick to rectify any problems that we may have. We had a burger night party, the other day and it was incredible. A family that is incredible to be around.

The AC controller is hiding and could find. if AC is not on ， air would not circuiting well.
The atmosphere is welcoming. Junior is very cool and helpful. the location and view is fantastic. the Room is big and decorated with sense. they provide insurance box ， and laundry service. very thoughtful hostel.
