Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

ItalyBeing in the heart of Al Fahidi, you don't have a direct access to parking facilities. There is a parking area within the historical district about 5 minutes from the hotel.
An exciting blast from the past! Dive into those Arabian Nights in this traditional location with modern comforts. Nice breakfast and friendly staff. Al Fahidi is a key heritage site with much of the original infrastructure preserved and intact. Have a cup of coffee at the Bayt Al Khaniar Coffee Shop and a nice lunch or dinner at Arabian Tea House and thank me later. The hotel is just 8 minutes walk distance from the nearest metro (Sharaf DG - green line), but it's also easy to get a cab. Also, a few steps away from Al Fahidi abra (boat) station, so you can easily explore Deira Old Souk or wonder around Al Seef waterfront promenade.

Saudi Arabiaif you’re not a deep sleeper, pack earplugs because the mosque next door has very loud call for prayer twice in the early morning…
Amazingly appointed, intimate property in the new cultural quarter of Dubai, Al-Fahidi. Art gallery on the premises, lovely café and courtyards, and only a few rooms! It made for a beautiful stay. This Dubai hotel will make you forget the kind of trashy tourism alas too usual in other Dubai hotels…A must-try!

I stayed here seven years ago and upon return today, it was as wonderful as I remember, perhaps even more so because of the current staff. The relaxed atmosphere in this vintage Dubai home reveals how life can be lived, even in bustling Dubai. While the rooms are wonderful, leaving the room and sitting outdoors in the various nooks and alcoves promotes a serenity, whether reading a book, studying or listening to the world around you. Weather leaving a busy souk or the bustling modern downtown, the walk into the Al Fahidi historic district, the entry into the XVA hotel courtyard, the walk to your room, especially if upstairs, past the outdoor beds inspires an internal tranquility. Breakfast served under the courtyard Banyan tree is a daily delight. A caution, the room doors are low and even I need to duck a bit, but that is part of the heritage of the location!

ItalyRooms a bit small but i knew that before coming. I did.not realise it did not serve alcohol but they recommended local hotel bar. In the middle of 'heritage centre' which was still being built!
The staff were great, the breakfasts good, mint lemonade fantastic. I loved the atmospere and style and also the music. The relaxing spaces on upper floor were lovely. Highly recommend. Perfect antidote to rest of Dubai.

CanadaLocation and the staff were awesome! Lots of attractions and good restaurants around the area. Our room was nice, quiet and clean unfortunately the other side of the bed creaked. Tip: if taking a taxi or Uber, just tell the driver to go to Arabian Tea House Bastikaya and its just a short walk from there.
