The ryokan also offers free use of bicycles. Dinner and breakfast exceeded expectations. Everyone was so helpful and polite. The room and private onsen was amazing. It was a great way to relax.

The ryokan has a hot spring bath and sauna, and guests can enjoy a drink at the bar. Free private parking is available on site. The room (I had the basic level option) was gigantic for Japan, with a huge picture window and a view to die for. To say I was blown away upon arrival would be an understatement. The hotel is spacious and uncrowded. I suspect it caters almost exclusively to the Japanese market so some instructions were on rather informal notes, or simply only in Japanese. The rate is breakfast and dinner included but also includes unlimited alcohol from 7pm and coffee/tea/refreshments all day with an icecream bar in the late morning and afternoon. The silence and sleep quality was superb as was the bathroom with shower.

Japanese-style rooms have a tatami (woven-straw) floor and traditional futon bedding, while Western rooms come with beds and an en suite bathroom. All rooms are air-conditioned and fitted with an LCD TV and a fridge. Food was great Staff were very organized

Surrounded by sacred mountains and untouched nature, Tamonkan is housed in a historic Japanese-style building. Complimentary tea and snacks are served to welcome guests. Dewa Shrine is located an 8-minute walk away. Free WiFi is available in all areas. Tamonkan is an amazing ryonkan. The sweet couple that manages it so so so kind and gentle. The rooms so cozy. We had an amazing experience. It’s perfect to reach Mount hagura. And it’s well connected with the main city. The food that they cooked for us was great too! I suggest to try breakfast and dinner. I really hope to come back again. Arigato! We love you ♥️♥️♥️

The wooden structure of the property portrays a traditional Japanese-style accommodation. Free Wi-Fi is available at the lobby. An exceptional and authentic experience. The food was delicious, the staff was so welcoming and professional. This place heals your body and soul. 12/10!! We will be back for sure, recommended!!!

At Shikitei Morioka TsunagiOnsen Ryokan, guests can relax in the outdoor/indoor hot spring baths or get a soothing massage at a surcharge. Luggage storage service is available at the front desk and a gift shop and drinks vending machines can also be found on site. they were really open to everything we needed. food was excellent

Mizusawa-Esashi Station is 22 km away and Mizusawa Station is 22 km from the ryokan. The property was immaculate. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The onsen was the cleanest I’ve seen.

Situated in Kaminoyama, 17 km from Zao Onsen Ski Resort, Oyado Morinone offers accommodation with a sauna, a hot spring bath and a public bath. With garden views, this accommodation provides a balcony. The ryokan features rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. This was the most elegant and restful stay of my life. Food is incredible - deserves a bib gourmand! Rooms are large and comfortable with a view. Onsen is lovely. The best is the free alcohol and hot drink service in the evenings around the fireplace. Definitely stay here if you can! It’s once in a lifetime type stuff
