Breakfast was good and time slot from 7-10.30 is really great. The hotel is located in the center. So you can walk through the whole city from there. The staff was very friendly- rooms are modern and very clean. The king size bed was really comfortable.

Ideally situated in Funchal, TURIM Santa Maria Hotel features air-conditioned rooms, an outdoor swimming pool, free WiFi and a shared lounge. Location, breakfast, staff, the room. The view from the room was just incredible. There was also a music in the room. This is an amazing hotel. You must, i repeat you must visit it! Thank you TURIM!

Hotel Catedral offers elegantly decorated rooms in Funchal’s city centre. It features panoramic views of the area. It also offers free WiFi, as well as free parking. Location, location, location!:) You can almost touch the cathedral across from the Hotel Cathedral in the exact center of Funchal. I walked to my cruise ship from the hotel with all my luggage! The Xmas market area was right outside the door. The room was almost a suite (had a little seating area next to the window with a half wall separating it from the bed area) and had good mattresses, WiFi and shower, and room for all bags. Doors open to a faux balcony above the street. Breakfast was tasty and has alternative milk options and a fridge full of juices. Luggage storage is easy thanks to reception ladies Cristina and Maria. I had to add my friend to my reservation and the charge was only 15 Euro extra per night (thank you Maria!) Also love the top floor lounge and terrace overlooking the cathedral.
