For travelers in search of an experience, nothing says authentic country living like a stay at a private, working farm. Hosts might offer interactive kid-friendly activities or for couples, a cozy haven in an original/converted farmhouse. Breakfast is usually included – you may even be collecting the eggs yourself!
Even though we never met the owners, they were always on hand, always talking to us by phone, keeping communications open, very obliging, and helpful.
Outlook was superb, very peaceful, quiet country setting set high on the hills overlooking Wodonga.
The accommodation was very simple but very rustic, fitted in very well with the surroundings.
Love how they set the cottages up.
It is a fantastic place to relax.
Great size room. Great facilities inside, huge bathroom, nice shower. Pool was lovely, but tree branches and flowers fall in the pool constantly. Back yard area was fantastic. Individual parking next to room was great.
The owners were extremely welcoming and organised. The location is priceless, consisting of views of all Albury and Wodonga, all with the privacy of being on the farm. Plenty of wildlife to enjoy a well.
A beautiful cottage up on a hill overlooking the city of Wodonga with just bird sounds and kangaroos grazing The cottage had a beautiful aura about. Very rustic, practical and comfortable. Owners very pleasant and helpful. Cottage very clean and tidy.
It is a spotlessly clean rustic rural cabin. So quiet and so peaceful. Managed the steep driveway in our SUV. Only 7 minutes from the town centre. A lovely refuge at the end of the day.
A brilliant farm stay in a dual secluded cabin set up over looking Wodonga. View at night of shimmering town lights was amazing. Secluded but only a short sub 10 min drive to the shops in Wodonga downhill. Would recommend for especially those looking for a quiet getaway. Only regret is not having visited during winter so we could have got the fire going.
There’s a saying, “less is more…” It applies so perfectly to this location. Less noise, less distraction, less hustle and bustle. If you can’t deal with the orchestra of bird life, the distraction of butterflies and the hustle and bustle of Willy Wag Tails darting around then you probably didn’t deserve or need the serenity of sitting on the verandah with a relaxing drink while contemplating what you want to cook on the nearby bbq provided under it’s own rustic annex. What a wonderful place to simply relax!!!!
Lovely quiet rural retreat with lots of wildlife. Nice and clean and the fire was going when we arrived.
