The shower was hot and had good pressure. Parking at the front door. The Host, Lennard, was polite and helpful and showed us around. The included breakfast in the stables was fantastic and being able to wander the grounds and the castle was amazing. Absolutely amazing stay.

The garden around the Lodge is very large. You can find quite a number of chickens, ducks and three alpacas kept next to the entrance. The Lodge looks luxurious and is well-organized. The room with ensuite is clean and tidy. Tenants could relax in the dining room.

It was nice that has a heat on the toilet floor. Pretty good breakfast and also had 3 hot breakfast meal available plus a continental option too. Robin also gave us some useful ideas for places of interest to visit, and provided us with maps. The location of Alexis Motor Lodge is perfect for Dunedin..many places of interest are walkable from there, including the Botanical Gardens, which are well worth a visit.YvonneYoung couple

Our room in the Lodge was lovely- very comfortable and clean. We had a balcony that allowed us the most incredible view of the Otago Peninsula. We chose to have dinner there which was a great decision. Beautiful food, good wines all served in the Music room of Larnach Castle ( the lovely old house). It did feel very grand and quite special.
