Located in Winscombe, 14 miles from Ashton Court, The Swan Inn has accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. A beautiful country pub in a peaceful location. The room was clean and a good size, comfortable bed and large bathroom. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Dinner and breakfast were both delicious.

With a restaurant and a bar onsite, The Bath Arms Hotel offers adult-only accommodations in the picturesque village of Cheddar. The Cheddar Gorge Caves are just 10 minutes' walk away. Great check in with a lovely young man who showed us to our room and also took our food order in the restaurant. Food was excellent

Adjacent to The Langford Inn are bedrooms with attached bathroom housed in 2 converted 17th-century barns with exposed beams, original brickwork, oak floors and luxuries for modern living. I was warmly greeted and shown to my room. The room is absolutely lovely. They provided many extras. I had Prosecco and an IPA waiting for me when I arrived. The bed is fabulous. The shower was good water pressure and very warm. The linens were very plush and towels huge. There was tea, coffee, hot chocolate provided. I ate dinner there and had a wonderful dining experience. Andrew fixed me a bag of food items for the early departure since I would miss breakfast. Everyone was friendly and very helpful. I would caution that if you’re a very light sleeper, there are some sounds that might wake you. The cars leaving might be the loudest but they are gone, but I was there when a very large dinner party was happening. I will definitely go there again. It was only a 10 minute drive (easy drive for an American) back to the car rental return. Then a bus to the airport.

Crossways is nestled in the heart of Somerset, at the foot of the Mendip Hills, 4 miles from the city of Wells. Staff were so helpful. They had a good knowledge of the community and every referral they gave was wonderful!

Located in Wells and with Oldfield Park Train Station reachable within 20 miles, The Sheep and Penguin has a garden, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a bar. The Sheep and Penguin is a brilliant, newly refurbished little inn. We had the pleasure of staying a couple of nights there. It's a great base to explore Wells and the wider Somerset region from. Excellent customer service from all of the staff, especially the manager Dan who made us feel completely welcome and gave us some excellent local recommendations. The pub downstairs is fantastic and the food was top notch. The room was spacious and beautifully furnished, with a very comfy bed! We would highly recommend that everyone visiting Wells or Somerset should stay here!
