Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomPositives: 1.Good location. 2. Room size is excellent. 3. Plenty of daily activities 4. Hotel generally kept in pristine condition especially the pool which was really important to us. 5. 5 al carte restaurants available to eat from for dinner. 6. Great breakfast buffet with multiple options especially exotic fruits. Negatives: 1. A lot of the staff is really bad at understanding English (even basic English). Very difficult to convey instructions sometimes, especially in room service e.g. ordered regular hot milk for a child but got hot chocolate first, then cold milk!. Don't understand how this can happen by just ordering and specifically asking for HOT milk. 2. Concierge/support staff - not really helpful at all. We had lost one luggage at the airport where they weren't understanding the problem in English. Just asked the concierge to translate from Spanish to English but we're very reluctant to do so. In the end I had to sort it out myself by calling the UK line and dealing with the air staff there to send instructions to Mexico airport. 3. They have a really stupid system of booking al carte restaurants only up to 2 days in advance. So we literally had to go everyday to book for 1 day after the initial 2 days. Lady in-charge took a LONG time to book so there was always a queue there. So beware! 4. Only allowed to use the restaurants as part of the all-inclusive pack for dinner only. Stuck with using the buffet every afternoon. Buffet food not great for lunch. Half the time ended up going outside the hotel and eating. Overall I had a mixed bag of experience (some great and some not so great). I'm somewhere between 3.5 - 4 star rating but I know I expect a lot when I'm paying around £500 per day and can be fussy.

United StatesIt was very challenging to get small change to give tips so bring smaller bills with you. The restaurant reservations can get a bit competitive if you don't book right away but most places will accommodate you if they can. Some of the bathrooms surrounding the pools got very dirty and some guests are not respectful of the property and left trash everywhere. This is the guests, not the staff, at fault.
Staff was amazing! The food was excellent and it was such a relaxing family vacation.

United StatesBuffet was ok. Definitely nothing to brag about. The beach is nice, but not simple to get to. I'm reaching for negatives honestly.
Staff is great, service is great, the restaurants are great (the buffet is probably the only let down). Clean and friendly. Definitely recommended.

United StatesI would have liked it if they had noodles for the pool. They did not offer any. Lots of kid geared activities. Would have been nice to have adult activities, such as trivia….especially because it rained 4 out of our 7 days. Also, check in took way too long. We wasted most of the afternoon checking in and it was one out out the 3 days of sunshine.
Ample food throughout. Some restaurants were better than others. Staff was very friendly.

United StatesFood at the buffet didn't really change so you might get bored if you're there for more than 4 days. Especially since it was low season and the restaurants weren't open every night. Check-in was awful. Three hours, 3 people later, the last person said, oh your room has been ready! Very frustrating and they couldn't explain why it was such a mess. If you like your room cleaned every day, I think you have to request it. They made the bed and gave us new towels and you could refill the minibar. That was enough for us. Last thing, personal pet peeve when you can't adjust the thermometer down beyond a certain point (71F). We all get very warm at night so it was an adjustment to not sleep in our typical conditions but we were fine.
All of the staff were amazing. So cheerful and helpful, even with our 3 year-old. Food was better than I thought and enough variety to satisfy the entire family. Rooms were very clean and well-thought out, including blackout curtains and double-paned patio doors so you don't hear all of the pool activities if you're trying to take an afternoon nap! We were right by the pool and couldn't hear it in the room. They have these great bracelets that open the doors so you don't really need your wallet or your phone the entire time you're there. Water park and pool for the kids kept her entertained all day every day. Also nice for the adults that kids were mostly on one side of resort so you could still have a quiet, relaxing time if you don't have kids!
