It worked out for me even though it wasn't a beach front property because I get to talk 10 minutes to the beach every day as my exercise. The town center is also 10 minutes from the property. Staff was friendly. Free breakfast was great - simple, clean food. I stayed at the room on the corner of the 2nd floor and I had my own hammock and a patio. It was so relaxing to read my book as I lay on the hammock. Felt like I was home! :)

We missed a bar for the nights we wanted a quiet drink but we were made aware of this before our stay Sometimes it was difficult to keep our children quiet and slightly concerned this may have affected other guests

Small boutique feel , so so clean ! Trendy and modern ! Staff were lovely and put their heart and soul into the place! Beautiful home cooked breakfast It’s a basic hotel but beautiful with modern styling . A beautiful pool set within a beautiful garden - that was peaceful

Everything was perfect really, one minor thing was how uncomfortable the pillows were but other than that, perfect!

I stayed at Tierra Mia in January of 2024 arriving in the middle of a mid hurricane - the island was awash with water and yet - I was safe and sound and dry at Tierra Mia for the first night! It was my first time to Holbox and the staff were so kind, informative and fun so when I was planning a return visit in 2025 with a friend I just decided to return to where I felt, welcome, comfortable and safe! It's a beautiful small family run hotel with great design and a lovely vibe. Perfect location to the best beach just 3 mins away and close enough to town that it's quiet at night but close enough to walk to restaurants etc. Would recommend this hotel to anyone!! Will be back next year!

Although good wi-fi in reception area which was a lovely place to relax with sofa and hammocks, wi-fi less reliable in the room. Would have appreciated a hairdryer in the room although one was available if you asked.

Lovely relaxed hotel. Spacious room with our own area to sit out - completely met our expectations from the pictures. Really helpful staff. Very short walk to beach and about a 10 minute walk along the beach to the main town/restaurants.

Identical rooms in the same category appeared to be noticeably different sizes, although this was quickly solved with an upgrade for a small fee. Although the (upgraded) room was spacious, there was little or no room provided for storage or hanging of clothes, such as a wardrobe. In a location of high humidity, this storage should not be located in the bathroom, regardless of how much space there is available.

The location in terms of proximity to the beach, bars and restaurants was great. It was also on a relatively quiet road in from the beach, which not all accommodations were. The staff on reception, and in the hotel were incredibly helpful and gave great local recommendations. The pool and facilities were more than we needed and were kept clean at all times. The included breakfast also provided even greater value for this stay. The walk took no more than 5 minutes to the beach, although this was made more difficult following heavy rain, but didn't dampen our spirits.

The breakfast was really small and the beds were hard and small as well. A lot of sand in the room due to the design of the hotel.

There are a lot of rules which seem often common sense, but it’s a bit annoying to be told so many restrictions (e.g. only one cup of black coffee in the morning, no water)

Id avoid to rent a bike at the hotel. It's a bit pricey and are in bad condition. There are dozens of places where you can rent bikes in the island.

Breakfast and the staff, everyone was super nice. The rooms are very clean and the design creates a great atmosphere in general.

Such a cute little hotel and the best option in Holbox, we liked that it was a 5 min walk to the Main Street but we could enjoy the quiet area while relaxing. Rooms are so nicely decorated and staff is very helpful with everything. The included breakfast every morning was great as well

I didn’t have longer here!

The property was sooo clean and well maintained. Everything was crisp - from the bed sheets to the towels to the cleanliness of the bathroom. There was no “ick” feeling at all. So comfortable and a hidden gem. They have thought about everything from buckets to wash your sandy feet to beach towels in the room.
