The only thing that comes to mind is that there wasn’t a porch light outside our entrance.

We had a spacious room, the bed was comfortable, it was a great location! Spencer seems like a great small town—we hope to return and spend more time there.

That the window screen had one big and several small holes. I would've liked to sleep with the window open as the nights were cool enough but didn't for fear of bats, insects etc. So we ran the air conditioner all night both nights. I would think the cost of replacing the screen would be less than the cost of electricity for the ac. Also the seeming presence of the homeless couple behind the motel (?) was a little off putting. We could hear them out there both nights talking and packing their bicycle trailer with whatever that pile of stuff behind the motel was.

The low key, low cost but good enough state of the building. The ease of checking in.

Second to the last night there, a thunderstorm rolled through. There was two leaks above my son's bed and he slept on the couch that night and when I told the front desk on check out, we got an apology, but no offer of compensation.

The motel did not offer breakfast. It was located in a good location for restaurants and highway access. Several gas stations/convenience stores.

I seen a Roach 🪳 and the next is a male housekeeping guy walked into my room when I was getting out of the shower call the office to report it and they said they will handle it that was a unsatisfied thing for me I won't be going back.

small room. kind of rundown. old building. a little sketchy but close to everything. I like the odea of outside doors so easy to load and unload luggage. not sure I'd stay again unless really wanted to save money which it was very affordable.

good location as far as restaurants nearby and downtown accessibility, older run down area but not too bad. room was dingy and small but it was half the price of others nearby. parking was good, we just needed a place to sleep after a late wedding dance so it served it's purpose, no breakfast no staff late at night.

For the price it was what was expected. Rooms could have been cleaned more thoroughly. Dusty, dirty ceilings.

It was not clean. There was an odor in the room and I found the AC filter was black. The vents were black and the little xmas tree air freshners they stuck inside the ac filter were black. I cleaned the filter and tossed the trees. The sofa was black in places and was actually supposed to be orange. The in room phone did not work, so when the shower would not work, I could not call for assistance. If there would have been an emergency I may have not been able to get help since phone signal was not the best. There were no clocks/radios. There were two emtey doors and other than the turn lock, there was no additional security and these were all outdoor access with cars parked within 4 feet of the door. I will say the beds were clean. I stripped them to make sure. There was hot water, but moldy spots in the bathroom. Honestly, I don't think the room had been used in awhile. They are trying, they probably need more staff just like the rest of us. We stayed more than one night, and the motel was pretty full, so we'll give them a pass, and hope it's better for the next person.

The desk chair in my room, 41, needs to be thrown in the dumpster and replaced with a new chair. The cigarette burn holes, no arm pad leaving the rivet exposed to scrape your arm.

There is no breakfast offered here.

The bed was uncomfortable, stiff. Pillows were lumpy & not enough blankets. Minor issues but i wasn't expecting Hilton quality & we made it work! I typically bring a blanket with me anyway I would suggest bringing your own toiletries also they give you a couple packets of "conditioning shampoo" & tiny bars of soaps.

Pleasantly surprised with our room, i was hesitant to book because of other reviews commenting on cleanliness/smell/bugs. It is an older motel so there is an old smell in the room, not overwhelming at all but noticable. I brought one of my scentsy pots & it took care of the smell. TV was huge & had many channels available. This room was on the end of the motel & we had our own parking spot on the end. We were able to have our curtains & open & had a great view of nature. The windows open also & we had an awesome breeze coming through. It was clean & no bugs in site! Which suprised me also being an older motel.

That the room was upstairs- and the stairs are metal- we live in iowa so they were covered in snow.. was just kinda iffy.. thinking i was gonna slip on my way up or down..

The check jn staff was on point, very polite and got me in and out no problems.. And the room was nice, the place was quiet, and i enjoyed my stay.
