Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Room smelled a bit like smoke (I'm sure from previous guests.... this is an older motel in a college town). Breakfast was sufficient but not spectacular. Needed some thing with protein... sausages, biscuits and gravy, etc. Also needs two waffle irons for busy times. Tub water spigot was loose and difficult to adjust for shower.
Location is great. Room was comfortable (king room). Most affordable option in Manhattan.

Room service did not clean our room we had to get our own towels we had to get our own sheets we had to make our own bed and make sure we had toiletries and shampoo. And there was no safe in the room and it said that every room had a safe and the window was broken and we had to listen to the Halloween most of the time we were there never got the carpet vacuumed except for one time the people didn't come up and back in the room and clean they just forgot to bring the towels and everything that wasn't really happy about that the staff was not very friendly or smiling there is one girl that always smiled at date night time she worked she was very pleasant with us.

I left my board games by accident I called the ent day they told me they toss the items out I thought I was given a time frame to pick them up usually they said if it’s not jewelry or something important they toss it out that’s weird to me I started over moving from California I was homeless in a shelter with 3 small kids and I feel like they stole my items kept them for themselves I actually want to call corporate about this!!
I arrived at 4:30 am by train in Topeka with my 3 little kids I called a week before I was told I could do a early check in the lady said I could she works nights usually and noted it when I arrived she told me I couldn’t but she let me anyways with an extra price

Shower curtain needs change had mold in it on the inside. Breakfast was minimal for a hotel and the lady working in the morning came and started shutting it down while we were still eating in the dining room it was like 9:45am

Quite worn; carpet in hallways, vinyl floor in room. Took a minute to figure out heating unit. Employees weren’t friendly. They got the job done but not welcoming.
Comfortable bed, everything was clean, better than most continental breakfast. They offered bagels, cream cheese, and yogurt along with waffles, 2 types cereal, toast, and oatmeal packets.

All the staff we encountered, from the front desk to the maid service, seemed very put out when assisting us. The slim interaction with the front desk to check in. Along with the maid knocking on our door 30 minutes before the check-out time wanting to know when we were leaving.
It was in a great location, the bed was comfortable, and the rooms were clean. It met our needs for the one night we stayed in town.

Low water pressure in thee= shower
The bed was very hard and uncomfortable. Very poor water pressure in the shower. The TV remote didn't work. Checked in at 2:00 and they put on the 3rd floor. Found out later there was available rooms on the first floor.
