Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesSize of the room, the shower head and a towel rack.
The Location was great. The room was quiet but a bit small. There was a mini bar, a refrigerator and a safe. There was a couch in the room which was nice. The beds were comfortable. The shower head was just okay. There were robes to use. I wished there was a few more towel racks. There was no where to hang the hand towel.

United StatesThe room had a slight musty smell at first, but thankfully I had my travel air purifier with me—it cleared it up in no time.
The staff was exceptionally kind, courteous, and helpful throughout our stay. Having an on-site restaurant was incredibly convenient—and both the food and service were excellent. The location, right across from Franklin Park, was perfect for our needs. We parked in a nearby lot and easily walked to the National Mall and several museums. Getting to Nationals Park was also a breeze, with a quick 15–20 minute Uber or Lyft ride each way. The room was conformatable and clean.

United StatesThere is a weird system having nuts and snacks on an automated disk that charges the room if the snack is lifted. Having a 3 year old it is very easy to get charged and when I asked to completely remove the snacks as my wife is allergic and my daughter could easily get the snacks and disperse them in the room I was told it involved a $18 charge (which I did agree to) I understand the business side but precaution should be made for people who are allergic and i think it is a bit of an overkill from the hotels side.
The location is excellent, the staff were very accommodating and helpful, and the restaurant has a very nice Italian twist.

United StatesThere's nothing that I didn't like, but there's no wow effect. It's just a comfortable room, not ideally clean, but quite clean and good.
I liked everything, a small cozy room. Fair price, we didn't take anything else from the card. Good view from the window, convenient location, you can walk to the park, and you can even walk to the Capitol. You can regulate the temperature and ventilation yourself in the room.

SpainMy only quibble, and I did find this very mean, there was no free water in the room. There was bottled water but on minibar terms. I'm in the habit of finding a free bottle or two of water in my hotel room so I don't buy any along the way. No big deal, but felt a little sour.
Fabulous location within easy distance of the must see sites, friendly and efficient staff and very comfortable.

United StatesNo microwave and a very tiny fridge that barely worked. While this hotel is close to everything, it forces your hand at eating every meal out. Have a large dinner out and have leftovers? Bummer. Feels more tailored to a business trip, short and sweet, rather than any stay over 2 days. It’s really too bad that they don’t have a microwave. It would certainly set this location apart from others. The rooms are small, again more fitted to a short stay. Basic standard room, nothing that really stands out. Depending upon which room you have, some bathrooms have more counter space than others. Some of the wall paper you could tell had been cut out and replaced and was peeling. Deal breaker? No, but rooms probably need some TLC. The bed was clean and fresh. Not the most comfortable but certainly was good enough for a full week.
We spent a week here. The location was incredibly convenient to all of downtown and the mall. We walked to dinner nightly. The homeless roam day and night but seems to be a cop on almost every corner. I did like the added security of having to scan your room card to go up the elevator. Love the historic details of this hotel. The lobby is beautiful. Very basic but love the different touches. Via Sophia had good breakfast and a pleasant waitress. The front desk was always helpful with anything that we needed.
