The kitchen and lounge area is fantastic. The owner is the loveliest lady who is hospitable and so very helpful. It’s in a great position and plenty of parking. Great showers too.

Oxford Queenette Backpackers offers renovated hotel acommodation right in the Oxford town centre, opposite the Town Hall and behind the Queenette Dairy shop. Oxford swimming pool, fitness centre and children's playground are just 100 metres away and the local library and information centre are just across the main street. complimentary milk, tea and biscuits. a small gesture but really appreciated very clean

At the hostel, all rooms have air conditioning and a shared bathroom. this is one of my favorite hostels i've ever stayed at! such a unique place to stay with the shipping containers! the beds are comfortable and have outlets nearby which is so nice!! the place was so peaceful and the staff put on a fire every night! the owner, mick, could not have been nicer or more helpful! he helped me organize water taxis and understand the tide times every day when planning my route for the abel tasman coast track. he also helped me organize last minute transportation back the nelson which was a god send. the kitchen and all facilities were so clean and there were so many amenities!

Helpful, friendly owners. Large living/common area with comfy couches and lots of natural light. Shared bathrooms are clean and spacious. Cherry on top was the jigsaw puzzle under construction on the coffee table - was a huge hit with the other guests too!

The shared bathroom facilities offer contemporary fittings and are equipped with hair dryers. Arrived early cold and wet after another wet ride up the west coast on my motorcycle. Manager let me check in early and put the Sauna on for me to warm up in. Had a lovely relaxing afternoon off the bike. Fabulous hostel my 3rd time staying here now.
