Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. The area seemed quite noisy at night.
The hotel was clean and comfortable. The front desk staff were always very nice and helpful with everything we needed.

The bed was small, and the blanket didn't have a proper cover.
Close to the metro, very good location for nightlife and restaurants just around the corner. Windows have good sound isolation, so didn't hear too much from the street. The cat in the lobby 10/10- an absolute sweetheart!

The outside area could be shady sometimes, nothing happened but we were very careful every time we went out. I’d say also, you always had to take the stairs because the elevator and reception were floors above the entrance.
The staff were the best from my whole trip, very nice and helpful. Even gave us a map and marked places we should go and time stamps.

The room was really old and needed renovation. There was hair on the blankets and the photos on Booking didi not match the room we received. The bathroom cleanliness was okay but it could have been better.
The staff were really helpful and friendly. The location was great, close to Louvre and Galerie Lafayette for example, but I wouldn’t recommend it for a solo or girls’trip. The price was reasonable and there was a parking spot with reasonable price available.

The rooms need slight modification

The location is great, we liked it very much. You can walk to all the important points. The staff is very perfect. Especially Mr. Faruk ❤️ explained the city one by one with a map of Paris so that we could tour the city. You are the most perfect detail of this hotel, Faruk❤️ he is a very sweet person. Thank youuu

Lift was down so had to walk up and down four very steep flights of stairs. Somewhat inconvenient for me but would be a no-go for anyone with the slightest of balance or mobility issues.

A great stay of a hotel starts with a great reception. The hotel itself is a nice hotel in a great location. But it really stood out because of its exceptional reception. It was such a warm welcome and I got only helpful answers to my various questions in a lovely conversation. It just made me happy. What more can you ask for :)

The staff were amazing with information on what to do and tips on how to get around, also with warnings for daily weather issues. Great access to the trains and plenty around the location, food, pharmacies etc. Good wifi.

There is no table and hot pod. That’s not a problem for me. There is no elevator between the ground floor and first floor.
The property is not new, but that’s very organized, clean.

Excellent position to visit Paris, few minutes walk form centre Pompidou and Opera, served by metro. The staff at the reception was excellent with its suggestions, tips and assistance. Top quality/price balance to visit or stay in Paris a few days

The room is tiny. Like, walk around the bed sideways tiny. Also the bed was a bit firm for my husband (I didn't mind that).
The guy running this place in the mornings was the most helpful, most friendly, most knowledgeable person we encountered on our 2 week trip. He was the best. The room was very clean and had pretty much everything we needed, and the location is on the edge of the hood but also where the best, non-touristy restaurants are and was very economical. Plus they have a parking garage (if you're driving a Paris sized car). AC was cold.
