“At the start we were not to sure where to stay but then we came across lio villas resort on booking.com. There were a few bad comments about the distance from the town but that did not put us of. When we arrived in el nido town we were actually happy that we did not have to stay there as its loud, smelly, and crowded. When we arrived at the resort we booked another 3 days straight away is it was just so beautiful. large pool, big room , amazing bathroom and wonderful staff. Thank you guys for that unforgettable holiday”

“The hospitality was superb. We are from the U.S. and just moved to Manila, Philippines. Mike and his wife are Phil-Americans and go above and beyond to make sure your stay is a great one. They offer courtesy pick up and and drop at El Nido airport as well as offer free tryke rides (drivers work for tips) to and from town to anywhere you want to go. They even voluntarily contacted our next destination to arrange transportation and transfers. The beaches here aren't for swimming. It's more for sunbathing and the center hub for island tours, shopping, restaurants and nightlife. However there are some clean sandy beaches nearby that are a short tyke ride away and have beach bars for drinks and noshing. No need to worry about booking tours either as Mike and his staff can do all of that for you without you leaving the resort. They are very knowledgeable about best times and weather considerations. The breakfast is delicious with the most amazing open air cafe and view of the bay. During our stay we joined a yoga class at sunset in the upstairs breezeway... stunning location and serene atmosphere. The gardens are well kept and lovely. It's a fairly new seaside resort that is quite, clean, comfortable with modern amenities and the friendliest staff ever. It's our new secret getaway.”

Miniloc Island Resort is set in a peaceful cove in El Nido, Palawan. Designed like a coastal village, the resort offers a wide range of tours and beach or water activities.
“Paradise is all I can describe. We've been to many places like Jamaica, Maxico, Thailand and stayed at Marriott, Sharonton, Shiangri la, Westin resorts. I would say the food are fantastic, although it's all inclusive, the food quality are way better than most 5 stars resort. Ingredient are fresh, fish are amazingly good, the local dish are awesome. The rotation of food are well design that you will never get borad eating there 3 meals a day. Staff are so helpful, friendly and happy. Really passionate in their job, want to make sure every guest have a fantastic stay. Especially the great singer Mike, having him signing at night time does feels like we are in a concert. The reef outside of the hotel are amazing, out of all the resort in Palawan Maniloc are far way the best. The activities the resort arrange for guest are for free, bringing us to small and big lagoon, tour to other resort with fantastic swiming pool. 10:30 jack fish feeding time are my kids major entertainment they both look forward to eveyday. Trevor is so helpful too! We will come back in DEC again, will stay 7 days in Miniloc and 15 days in lagansan, same resort chain.”

“I have to start out by saying that Vellago Resort went far beyond my expectations. I couldn't have asked for a better environment to spend my last few days in the Philippines after a grueling two week business trip traveling all over Asia. What's really special about Vellago is that it is located on a semi-private beach away from town and can only be accessed by boat. It made for a super relaxing, remote and serene experience. Upon my arrival I was greeted by the staff where they lei'd me with a shell necklace and handed me a fancy lemongrass fruit beverage. The staff was amazing and went out of their way to make me feel extra special since I was a solo traveler. Although, I know they go the extra mile for all their guests, not just solo travelers. My room was beautiful, well decorated and very clean. The view was breathtaking and was the perfect place to eat breakfast and get massages in the afternoon. Toni, their masseuse is a magic maker. I highly recommend you getting at least one massage while you are there! I got two. :) The food was excellent with great choices and the beverages were plentiful. I can't praise this resort enough! I would definitely recommend it to everyone whether your traveling solo or as a couple or small group. The owners, Thomas and Josephine and their best pal, Lester, as well as the rest of the staff made my vacation unforgettable. Thanks again for everything! I definitely plan to return someday soon!”

“There was one specific staff that was at the counter where she helped us with everything. She even gave us recommendations to the best beaches and she recommended us to do the island hopping. We weren't disappointed. And then our your guide was just super down to earth. She's small but knows what she was doing. Our last night there the lady staff that helpped us in everything also arranged a van to take us back to pps around 10pm and even packed us sandwiches. She was just amazing!! She wore glasses and was probably in her 50s. She was what made the stay wonderful! Great English too!!”

“The place was clean. Staff and management were very accommodating and helpful. Our tour was cancelled due to the typhoon but they helped us out in making the most of our short visit to El Nido. They also gave us an option to extend a few hours after our check-out so we can conveniently stay somewhere comfortable while we waited for our ride back to Puerto Princesa at 6:00 PM. The charge for the extension was also quite cheap.”
